Meet Our Dexpert

Matt Parson MS, CCC-SLP BCS-S

Matt is the first and only mobile board certified specialist in swallowing in Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. He has had a passion for swallowing and swallowing disorders for many years. He was raised in Southern California and has called Utah home for nearly 15 years. He enjoys hiking with his family to see the beauty of nature.

BS in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Brigham Young University

It means too much to individuals and families who suffer the effects of dysphagia to offer anything less. Our company is dedicated to these individuals. We hope our efforts will honor them and give them improved data to base life impacting decisions off of and most of all: hope for a better life and future.

    Max Burrup is one of these individuals. We strive to help each individual avoid the challenges he faced. We are dedicated to honoring his memory and all patients who struggle with dysphagia in any form. Max fought the effects of significant dysphagia for over two decades before his passing due to aspiration pneumonia in 2004.

    Board Certification as a Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders Specialist (BCS-S) is granted and governed by the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders.

    A speech-language pathologist who is a Board Certified Specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders maintains exceptional, high-level skills and clinical experience in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders….a BCS-S speech-language pathologist has learned the latest, state-of-the art clinical approaches and can most effectively and efficiently evaluate and treat individuals with swallowing disorders.

    A BCS-S specialist has studied extensively and remains current on research in the field of swallowing and swallowing disorders. The BCS-S specialist provides appropriate, evidence-based treatment techniques to address the swallowing problem(s) of each individual, based upon the comprehensive swallowing assessment.
